12 ounces Dr. Pepper

2 cups ketchup

1 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce

½ to 1 tablespoon liquid smoke

1 teaspoon coarse salt

1 teaspoon chili powder

½ teaspoon granulated garlic

add all ingredients to large sauce pan

whisk to combine

place over medium heat and cook, stirring often until mixture starts lightly bubbling

lower to simmer and cook five minutes or until sugar is dissolved

store in airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve
